You know Lunascarab, you should have made your trail name

POONANI GIRL!!!

Or "Save Me From Lonkeys".

Just an opinion.... [sorry all, private joke, he he heeeeeeeee]

When you plant a box, let me know if it is a lonkey box so I can drive
over and find it. For that I will make the trip!

When I read your reply I started ??????? and then when I read it I
thought "oh no she didn't!" I will make sure that I will post a full on
lonkey box now that you have mentioned it. As of right now I am
curently working on a King Arthur series. I scoped out a park today. I
will let you know. Any time you want to come over give me a ring.

We've only been letterboxing for about a week, and I can't find
anything explaining what a lonkey is! What's a lonkey?

It would be the best box if you could rig it with a sound effect when
someone opens the lid....

but then we would have to plant it in North Carolina, Home of the
Dreaded Lonkey.

And I don't wanna drive there again.

he he eeeeee

If I come over I will bring you some...PICKLES.

There's a whole story behind it...it's like a really loud rooster that
crows in the woods when you are camping and trying to sleep in the
backwoods. And you are laying there in the dark, going what the !@(*@(
is that?!?!? and why won't it shut up!!!

I have never heard the Lonkey myself but I scrapbooked a whole page on
the legend of the lonkey using a poster Lunascarab made. And
apparently now there is a whole legend behind it.

I think it is the State Animal of North Carolina.

I think it would be sooooooo hysterical if Luna planted a box on the
Legend of the Lonkey.

I am teasing Luna a little bit -- I was emailing a mutual friend about
letterboxing once I started doing it, and the friend forwarded the
emails, and that is how Luna here decided to try letterboxing. And now
we both do it. But apparently, not our mutual friend. She is the one
who called Luna here Poonani Girl on that famous camping trip with the
scary Lonkey.

We will have to pull that girl to the Dark Side with us. Maybe we can
sick a Lonkey on her.

(I have no idea why they christened it a Lonkey, it must be a southern
thing. I am a Yankee, I can't understand these things...ha ha)
